I was one of the FO's in the April 21 class that got cancelled. I'm back instructing for now but I have two friends of mine that are current FO's and they said that they heard from some upper level management and Captains that the furlough will only be for a couple of months...do you guys know if that's true? Have you heard anything about that? My wife and 2 yr old daughter have been living across the country from me ( Her in PA with her parents and me in AZ staying with a CFI buddy of mine) due to us moving out of our apmnt since I was going into training. So I'm trying to get an idea on if we should move back here or if we should just ride out the storm. I've tried e-mailing Jackie Thompson (Mngr of Recrutmnt) to get an idea but I haven't heard back from her so I'm just seeing if you all have heard anything. Any help and info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and hope to see you all in the cockpit of an E-170 soon

Anything and everything is pure speculation at this point. They are being positive. That's about it.

There are probably gonna be more furloughs. The CRJ's are gone, UAL killed the remaining 7 145's and the 135's are gone. Not to mention the 14 170's in PIT. I'm pretty sure BB is not gonna get turboprops anytime soon.

WOW! Seems like everyone has a different opinion on the # of 170's in PIT.....8, 10, 12,14, even 17 !?!?!? Wish some people were able to count.
