Once jet regionals start hiring again, you will probably need more like 1,000TT/200ME until all these furloughed guys find their place again. Shoot, when times were good (last year), you still needed about 600-800TT/50-100ME just to get interviewed at Comair, ASA, CHQ, SKW, Eagle, etc. and even then that was still very low time.

It went lower. the above mentioned airlines except CHQ and SKW all dropped thier mins, eagle wanted a wet commercial with at least 50 hours m.e., Comair posted 600/100, but hired peole with far less time than that, if you went to a jet bridge or were an employee. Wonder how many folks got on with Comair has a ramper, did that for 3 months then put in transfer papers?

Methinks this raising of mins is only temporary, once the backlog clears they will go back to wet comm. inst. tickets, just a matter of time.

I think you are missing the point. It is not that GLA is flooded with 121 guys it is that 320 and 9 is so far away from where you need to be.

Do you really think you have any business sitting right seat of a 121 carrier with 320TT and 9 hours multi?

Seriously, not trying to be a jerk but you have zero business flying for an airline with those time. Zero point Zero. I mean, you have only 9 more hours than my grandma in a twin.

9 ME!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?? I would be embarrassed to send a resume to anyone with that time. Dude please get some experience first before you wanna fly people around.

Have you flown anything outside of your ME training? Go out, have some fun and get some experience in the system. I wouldn't have thought of doing anything but instructing at that point in my career.

Right now, I can't even get a nibble for a King Air gig with 2500/800!

I totally agree with the posts above. I was fortunate enough that when I had 10hrs ME I was offered a job flying right seat in a King Air for a 135 operation. The only reason I got that break was because I worked line service for the very same company. If you want to get into something quick look for a job at your local airport. There are lots of old birds that will take ya up and maybe even let you borrow the plane to build time.
Or simply banner tow! Either way enjoy your time building experience because once you move on to fly bigger and better things so comes bigger challenges and headaches.

I remember 1500/500 was the min

I think we can close this one.

We have all established that 1000TT and 100ME is LOW TIME in todays market and that 320TT and 9ME is low time in any market.
