I'm interviewing with them here in May at their base in Billings. I've read all the gouges etc... Just looking to see if has interviewed with them recently or know of someone who has. Thanks

Had one F/A ask me what body of water we flying over going from SFO - NRT (Tokyo). She got mad at me for making fun of her 5 minutes after I told her it was the Atlantic Ocean.

I have a friend who just got hired at Big Sky. Said a sim evaluation requiring an NDB approach. Apparently they still fly NDB's at several airports so be prepared. Also,, a written before you get into the interview. Approach lighting, VOR volumes, 121 regulations, Airport markings, Holding speeds and lengths, etc . . . Also asked about turbine engines, flying with high time captains. I guess a lot of older guys flying there so upgrades are few and far between. friend says that everyone complains but all still there. I guess a base in Boise and Billings. He says some crappy over nights in towns like Sidney, MT. says hotel sucks. they are flying the Beech 1900D. Used to fly the metros. Apparently most of the pilots are relaly cool and somewhat renegade-types with lots of experience. Anyway that is all I know.

Thanks for the gouge. The interview was good. I will post a gouge on Friday on Aviationinterviews.com. The written was fine, mostly fair. There were 2 questions that I thought were out of left field. The CP seemed cool and down to earth. The sim was CAKE, even thought it was a sim. 2 approuches, arc, hold and interceting a radial. Got to meet the CEO and VP of OPS. Seemed like great guys. Sound like there will be a domicile in Denver coming up and expanded routes but we will see. 32 people interviewing for the pool and the CP takes who they like. WE find out on Friday. There seemd to be a air amount of people with low time. They also said they like people with low time (they can form them the BigSky Way). They actually said they like low times instead of cargo pilots. That is the first time I have heard that. See ya.
