im still trying to figure reading the old thread why it was shut down. ive read way more objectionable threads before that stayed open.

What is there to keep going? All you are doing is beating dead horse. You do not sit on the board for any of the parties involved, so you have nothing to say. The two unions are talking to each other. Let's just wait and see.
