They have inventory and access to the E-170, which has the wide cabin and I'm sure are more popular with the customers.
They also have inventory and access to the 900. If you're going to buy a skinny RJ, at least get the longer one; the incremental cost to go from 700 to 900 is very small.
I guess it's remotely possible that they might replace the 200s with 700s.

Management has said routinely that they will not be getting ANY 70 seaters. They feel that the 70 seat market will become what the current 50 seat market is (shrinking). They pulled a miracle off placing the current fleet - minus the 146's. There is no way we can compete with other companies pay scales, work rules, etc. to aquire any additional aircraft.
If you end up here, expect to be an FO for 4-5 years at least. If you want an upgrade, go to those companies. But remember one thing - there is a reason upgrade is so short at those other companies...

You mentioned the pay was good, and working conditions. If you don't mind, could you be more specific? AWAC and Express Jet are two companies that I am heavily considering after my type rating. As much info on these companies would be greatly appreciated. Pay comparisons, monthly and weekly schedules, upgrade times, working conditions, good domiciles, benefits including air travel for friends and family, etc. Anything helps. Thanks.

You can find info on pay, domiciles, etc, etc on www.airlinepilotcentral.com (Plug). The link on the right side of the home page will take you there.
Can't help on working conditions, etc. Maybe some of the actual employees can give some info for you.

I'd be more than happy to help you...err....wait...type? You're buying a type? The information will cost you $50 then .
NICE FOSTERS, I was thinking the same thing. Dude you are wasting so much money on a type rating, first off X Jet will hire you with out it. get 700 hours and 70-multi, that is if they are hiring after December.
AWAC won't be too interested unless you've flown the airplane and you are going to need some flight time with a degree to get on with them. I have it on good authority that the 50 passenger RJs will be about it at AWAC.
If you want fly big RJ's sell your soul and go too Mesa or slit your wrist and apply at Go Jet.

And with expressjet MOST LIKELY losing their flying, all bets are off there too.
