Exactly. The public and the government don't give a sh*t that skilled professionals make $3/hour...as long as they can buy the lowest priced ticket on the internet, they're happy.

We need to make them unhappy by brutal negotiation and striking every contract. The major guys are mostly too wimpy to do that, since they have more to lose if they kill their company. But at the regional level...we could all make MORE money working odd jobs while on strike, and if we kill our companies, so f*cking what? Starting over at a regional is no biggy, and your next company would be more concerned about labor relations following a high-profile liquidation (or two).

I'm ready to kill my company in the near future, are you?

The next company most likely wouldn't hire a striker. Why would they when they have an unending stream of eager kids would do the job for free without complaint? In todays market experience can become a disqualifier especially as angry ex-strikers.

The public wont sympathize if we strike. All they see is two pilots sitting and doing nothing. They don't know what it takes to get to our levels. Hell I've have Flight Attendants ask me how long will I be a FO before I can be a co-pilot. You need to teach a country that has A.D.D. Thats the problem. They will not understand why you want them to pay more so you can make more. They dont understand that that airplane is our office.
