Default guarantee hours...

I am curious about the # of guaranteed hours. if the # is 75 they will pay you that much, even if you dont fly 75, correct? Also, What amount of hours is typical for a new F/O at some regionals. Do you fly 95, 105, 60...??? I know it will depend on the line you are on too. Or are you pretty much locked into 75hrs@$20per hour???

One big factor is what your contract says. Here its the guaranteed or 95% of the scheduled flying you shoulda had. And be contract they have to uild up the lines to 85 hours. which is more than the guaranteed.

Also if you have block or better or not. Which says that either we will be paid for the scheduled block or what ever we fly over that.

Yes, they will pay you at LEAST the guarantee, even if you sit at home on reserve and never go to work the whole month. Various airlines have other contractual provisions on top of that. If you fly, you also get per diem, which can add up for a new hire.

How much you fly depends on company, aircraft, base, time of year, etc. If you want to fly a lot, go to the junior-most east coast sh*t-hole base so you can hold a line quickly. Also you can probably pick up extra flying on your days off (not to exceed 100 of course).
