I was at Flight Safety in STL and TransStates was doing some training there also. I honestly felt so sorry for those guys. woefully underpaid, mistreated by management etc. Several of the guys said they were eligible for food stamps due to the low wages. Please. NO JOB is worth that kind of abuse!

Ok, I know the pay is low, although I don't see it being any lower than other regionals, to start. What I want to know are the specific things the company/management do that makes this such a bad place to work. I need details!!! Is it rescheduling, minimum layovers, flying fatigued, what is it other than pay that makes TSA so bad?

Good questions 'Git' - my only knowledge is talking with and observing the TSA pilots durning breaks over a 6 week period. They were a dedicated group, maybe too dedicated to a company that doesn't value them not only as pilots but as members of the human race. I believe the morale problem I saw had to do with the whole TSA experience these fellas suffer under. Maybe things are better there, but the management is the same which means the problems are still there. It is like asking, "Other than that Mrs. Kennedy, how did you like your trip to Dallas?"

Most people I talk to dont hate it there. Its just that its another regional. And you gotta accept regionals are all kinda crappy to work for. |
