I will bet you that I have shot more rounds in the past year than 90% of cops...I could tell you what rounds are in my gun...but then I'd have to...well you know. (just kidding about the last part in case you didn't get the sarcasm).

A buddy of mine came over the other day with an off duty fire arm. He is a metro police officer with about 5 years on the job. He set his pistol on my counter and then went into my office to send an email leaving the gun. There were 2 other people in the house at the time. Clearly 27 weeks at the (Somewhere in KY)Police Academy didn't fix "Stupid."

I saw an offer somewhere on the internet for the HK USP40c, the ffdo gun. You can buy it for like 500 bucks (think it retails for 900) if you can prove you fly for an airline or cargo company. It's a pretty sweet gun, a friend of mine has one, and if you didn't want to go through the program and are just looking for a good concealed carry gun that might be an option. Just throwing that out there. I personally would sign up for the ffdo program if I had a real job.

What happens when time runs out? I just got approved and then was furloughed four days before the first class I could start. Not looking like i will be back a work soon. Do I have to start all over again?, as is, it was about 4 mths before I was approved.

After you complete each stage you are good for one year. Approval(final stage) is no different. So if you don't get recalled and into Artesia within a year of that you start over.

HK will give you the discount as well as Glock. For glock you just need to go to an authorized glock law enforcement dealer and show your pilot id's. The discount that the firearms companies give you is the exemption from the Federal excise tax. Usually that runs about 150$. You can buy the HK cheaper then the dealer can get it for.

Yes, but I didn't use it because they give you all the clothes you will need.
