TSA Furloughing again...

So... 10 guys are being furloughed on November 30th? Bummer.
Also with the Q&A response confirming the loss of 17 aircraft (total) by May 2009, looks like the furloughs will go far past my DOH. Sucks.
Oh well, Plan B is already in the works

i was in the first round of downgrades back in june. assuming i'm figuring correctly, factoring attrition and after the loss of all 17 airplanes (which wont be final til may 09), i will be somewhere around 30 from the bottom and probably displaced from stl to iad or ord. i'm 12/06 hire. that should give you some perspective.

yeh, i'd figure something like 330 pilots give or take a few on property. Not knowing what the attrition rate is right now makes it difficult to really pinpoint, but i'd bet on a couple people a month at most (not a lot of places to go) I do know of 4 or so who are headed over seas, sure at the lower end of the spectrum some are just getting out. I've been looking, but i'm in the mid 200's, so i should be around 70 from the bottom, ish....amd I'm a Sept. 06 new hire, former CA.

I was 403 in September and 382 now in October. I think I was somewhere around 415 in August. Looks like 10 to 15 guys a month bailing out. I'll take the hours I can get now and will keep holding on 'til she sinks.
