Here is the latest. I had a couple internal rec's, and was offered an interview for Dec. 8. Got a call from Karen today temporarily cancelling the interview because the Jan. 12 Saab class has been cancelled. She thinks there will be a class now in February possibly, and will call me back to reschedule the interview when she finds out for sure.
I talked to my friend at the company, and it sounds as if this all may have to do with eliminating liability in the company until the union situation is finalized. Also, more Q's are apparently on the horizon, and possibly will be switching the next class from Saab to Q. |
That doesn't surprise me at all. We really aren't losing that many guys right now. No one can go anywhere except corporate or into another field of work completely.

Got a call for an interview back in early Oct. I had a rec from a senior pilot with USA. I was negotiating a contract job so I waved off on the interview. Real dumb move since the negotiations are now going poorly. Called two weeks ago to try and get the interview back. They are not hiring now but will keep my resume.
OBTW HR asked if I was interested in direct entry CA due to my time. Hope this helps. SC |

Hahahhahah.....guess that means the rumor mill of 10 new Q's by early '09, LAX base isn't happening. Or maybe the 'no hiring' WAS the big announcement that was SUPPOSED to be happening last week, no wait, this week, no wait.......
Like I tell everyone regarding these ridiculous rumors......believe it when you see it. Until then, it's complete B.S. |
