Default Pinnacle contract gurus, can scheduling do this?

Just a shot in the dark here. I'm an FO and a regular line holder at Pinnacle. Last night I wrapped up the last trip of the month according to my published schedule. I went down to ops and checked out with no changes to the schedule. Today I got a message on my phone from scheduling stating that they have a new notification for the 31st.

Can they add trips willy-nilly to line holders on your days off? I can't seem to find a definitive answer in the contract.

Normally I wouldn't mind, but I have some plans that I can't back out of now. Any help or advice is appreciated, thanks.

They are probably trying to get you to self notify yourself into a Junior man.

No. You are under NO obligation to call them back and acknowledge it, or even to show up for the trip. They did NOT get ahold of you while you were on duty. They do that hoping to get someone gullible enough to call back. They probably left voicemails with 15 other guys about the same trip, and whoever calls gets stuck with it.
Now if it was on your schedule BEFORE you check out from your last trip that's a different story...

as a disclaimer, since this is a public anonymous forum, I would recommend calling a union rep today just to make it "official" and get it on record that it is an illegal assignment so when you show up for work next week you don't have a miss trip on your schedule. Guilty till proven innocent here...

if you call them back i will beat you with a stick!

everything mooney said is correct. they had their chance while you were contactable. i wouldn't even log on to crewtrac to see the trip. just let it go. if when you checked out, and you did check out, there was nothing there then enjoy your time off!

Good idea on the union rep call, just in case. Yeah, I checked out that night and had nothing on the schedule, so I ought to be fine. Thanks everyone for the help.

If you want a rep number I can get you one.... we also have a company forum you may want to keep an eye on. If you want more info sent me a PM and we will keep it off the public forum.
