And I take it you were in that meeting? Or maybe you heard it from your girlfriends brothers friends uncle who was passing by. That doesn't mean anything either. If it was such big news in the conference why hasn't it been announced, better yet why was it taken off of the XJ snapshot page???

Mesaba has a newly certified CRJ 900 simulator that is capable of training in both (Mesaba and Freedom) cockpit configurations.

There are (approximately) seven recently trained CRJ simulator instructors.

Classroom are being configured for CRJ systems classes for large numbers of pilots.

Mesaba is hiring in large numbers.

Is any other Delta/NWA regional carrier doing all of these ?

If nothing happens (no announcement) it's one big waste of money.

It's cute that you have toys and think everyone is a fighter pilot....

I know NWA pilots that will hold scope and burn the house down for it...

No. We don't all know how you can ride the tide and hope for the best.....

I hear Mesaba is giving away free crack in the DTW crew room[/QUOTE]

Not funny...

Uh... I TALKED to a real life manager in person and saw the notes that were taken. I was skeptical about this unofficial official announcement (not skeptical of us getting more planes, at least the Freedom ones when PCL is done with them) but then I talked to this manager. I agree though, it does seem strange the company hasn't made a formal announcement. Maybe that's why it was taken of the APC snapshot page.

With the approval of the new training infrastructure in Eagan, we will now be able to train 80 pilots a month. Supposedly the one complaint from the fed was... it smells like electronics in here.

Maybe Mesaba is making a move to start doing training in-house? I don't believe that they can have huge fleet expansion without the addition of the mighty E170 to the fleet.......that will make them a real airline. ;)

Didn't someone on here say something about a "big announcement" that was supposed to come out last Friday?

crickets chirping...

vtx531 11-03-2008 11:47 AM

There was an announcement Friday that said there would be another update anouncement this week. Seriously.
