Which logbook program is that? Flew with another guy just two weeks ago who had an Iphone and he went to the app site and bought some logbook program... it worked ok, but was not possible to copy/paste/import your trips from the company system into the software, and the data tracking was limited. Is this a new program for the Iphone?

Can you list their web address?

I've been using APDL/Logbook Pro for 3 years now. I think it's a good set up. However, I can no longer sit around and wait for palm to make a quality smartphone. Its old technology and it freezes up on me all the time. I really want to get a cool phone (iphone/blackberry) but haven't because of the APDL / LBP applications. I love entering my times on the palm, then syncing it to my PC when I get home.

But I also have a Macbook (laptop) computer and this Logten program looks like exactly what I've been wanting -- a logbook for mac/smartphones.

My dilema: I have almost 7000 hours of flight time, all on my logbook pro program. I entered every line of my 2 logbooks into LBP and it took about 30 days, 2 hrs a day. I don't want to do that again. Especially since I have 2,000 more hours to enter.

Is it possible to import flight times from Logbook Pro into Log ten via a csv file... or something? I imagine it's not. I know I can just enter the totals for aircraft type and maybe that's what I would do. But I'd really like to have my entire flying career typed into an electronic logbook (line by line).

Nevermind, I found the answer on-line: Coradine Aviation Systems Blog Archive Importing from Logbook Pro, Excel, or…

Looks like good news for me!!!:)

One last question,

How do you guys like the iphone's nationwide coverage? I had AT&T in the past and didn't like them. I switched to Verizon and really have no trouble anywhere in the country. I'd sure like to switch to a totally "apple" format (iphone/mac) because I think Apple is great. Just wondering if you have any trouble using it in certain cities, layovers, etc...

I have a MacBook Pro, and had LogTen Pro on it for a long time. I've had VerizonWireless for a long time as well (since like 02) and have wanted to get the iPhone specifically for LogTen Mobile. I finally made the switch about 2 weeks ago, and it's great. The reception isn't as good as Verizon, but I have had no major problems so far. It's all worth it to me though, to have the iPhone which just syncs up so seamlessly with my Macs. I say do it, you'll thank me in the end. :D

The Palm Centro works like a champ with APDL, Skyguide, Adobe for your contract, weather, and whatever else you might need. Had it since it came out and traded in my old Treo 650, which was ready for replacement. Keep in mind all your expenses with a new phone is all tax deductable....
