I'm waiting cuz nervous about going to another regional I would be on 2nd yr pay now at Comair December. This is my 2nd regional airline and just don't want to make another horizontal move . I applied to tons and tons of companies including one airline. Most of the flight schools aren't hiring. I applied to a few flight schools/academies that I'm still waiting on. But the industry is a cycle, no one knows where Airline A or B will be in a week, month or year.

Movin' on, but the optimistic side of me is hanging on to my seniority number.
It's really hard to have optimism right now and the things management has done over the last six months haven't exactly made me a cheerleader.

I am waiting, but looking at the same time. I am 2nd yr pay now, I am also thinking about upgrades. I applied to GoJet which upgrade time is about 8 months ( I know about they are a scab airline but I got to think about my future, Scab airline or not look how long the upgrade in at Comair), and Colgan. So if I don't hear any good news from now to January I am seriously consdering move on.

I haved worked for many 121 carriers, cargo and pax... Trust me, Comair is not the worst. I think they do what they do because the mngmt has no real control. They have been polite and treated me with respect. Sorry to hear about others bad misfortune with this company, but I have seen worse. I'm sticking it out.....

I'm planning on moving on. I want to position myself in the best spot possible for the future, and I just don't believe that is at Comair. Even if we all get called back we'll be at the bottom of the list at the same crappy company. And God only knows what the upgrade will be then. Good luck with whatever you decisions, but I just can't take it anymore.

Personally I am done with Comair, and frankly the regionals in general, at least for the time being until the clowns running these places get their ******* together. And all the bickering that goes between the pilot groups, unions, management etc etc is embarassing. Reserve sucks, commuting to reserve sucks even more (not breaking any news there I know). All the best to those of you that want to continue to do that, I hope things turn around for you. Ok a little too much ranting there.....point is I'm moving on, trying to get back into instructing, then look into corporate/charter/fractional flying and not lose any sleep over getting furloughed from Comair. The latter will not be much of a challenge at all...
