Salt Lake City

Hello,

I will be completing an internship with SkyWest in SLC beginning next month. Does anyone know possible housing options? (Short-term, as I will only be there a couple months). I am looking forward to completing the internship, however, if I can not find a feasible housing option, I will be unable to.

Your help is appreciated!

Waste of time. Don't do it. PLUS you DON'T get paid!!!!!

The unwritten rule of a crashpad is nobody lives there full time. A crashpad is not a college dorm. I'm not trying to be a d#ck I just have first hand experience with this. We had a group of interns living in my old crashpad and all they did was annoy the p!ss out of everyone else. Please be considerate of others if you do go into a crashpad.

I guess I should elaborate on this...an internship at a regional (even SKW) is a waste of time. It may help you get hired as a pilot later, but it's not that hard to get a regional job anyway.

If at all possible, do an internship at a major airlne (other than AA or UAL)...some majors have been known to give preferential interviews to former interns with minimum experience levels. I know several ex-CAL interns who got hired at CAL withh 1000 hours SIC in an RJ.

The only way I would do it is if they drop the 1000tt requirement for future hiring, that might be worth it. Some regionals even drop their requirements as long as you have a comm license.

A *very* active classifieds system in SLC is KSL's classifieds.

someone beat me to it... great city, good timing if you ski/ride. I went to school there and instructed out there if you need any info PM me. The internship is a good one, we had a lot of student do them with skywest, they ended up doing random deliveries on 900's riding on check out flights and other stuff. good luck to you

... and to answer your question about housing i could let you know of areas to look.

I agree with this.
