I've had the same problem trying to leave BDL. Once they call down to the gate/ticket counter they find out I don't need the pass. I started just going through in my uniform & no more issues - they wave me right through.

Crewpass is still in testing stages & correct me if I'm wrong - but I think it will only be for on duty crews? It is awesome at CAE though. Just show your passport & your done :)

Crewpass is for any authorized pilot in uniform which includes jumpseaters.

What ever happened to crewpass?

I went through Pittsburgh last week and the Crewpass lane was open. The Crewpass Lane in Baltimore has been closed for the past 2 months. The TSA guy standing at the podium said they don't have the manpower to keep the lane open.

So then why use Baltimore for testing?!

They stated that I stillrequired a boarding pass because I was not flying the plane out. I have talked with other guys at this station and they have had thesame problem. Not that its a huge deal to get a pass.... I just want toknow what the rules are.....or where to find out... any thoughts wouldbe much appreciated!!! Thanks for the Info!!!!!

O Yeah.... They would not accept my airline ID as a form of IDeither....This all just started.....Has there been a rulechange....Should I contact ALPA.... I just want to easily get to work...

I have run into the same thing at some airports. Varies station to station. I actually had TSA refuse to allow me to go through security because I was operating the flight. They said I needed a boarding card. I had to go back down to the ticket counter and be let out to walk across the cold and snow covered ramp. But at least we were keeping the flying masses safer!
