GoJet? Shoot I was gonna go with Mesa! I guess either one would work fairly well!

As cliche as it is for track to have his avatar be Maverick, we all know we like the movie ... and a show of hands who have actually accomplished the bar scene in a bar somewhere with your wingman ... *raises hand*

So, now let's figure out why those particular codes were used. And for the record, ATC used the two letter codes until about 15 - 20 years ago (I don't remember exactly when). The easy ones were PA, TW, UA, US, AA, CO, DL, etc.

Airlines like QQ, not so much. What does OO have to do with SkyWest?

Doesn't typing ASA make you just as lazy? Aren't you just getting out of typing Atlantic Southeast Airlines?

I don't think it has anything to do with being lazy. If you ask me, it's used by a bunch of regional airline co pilots who need to convince themselves (and others), they are actually involved.

Ever see anyone use EJA or FIV? Nope...Damn regional airline co pilots.

You're right! We aren't involved, as we only swing the gear...and if we're REAL lucky we even get to move the controls.
