Mesaba might Furlough
#1
I heard from a guy who heard from another guy who talked to a girl that Mesaba might be furloughing.... JK but honestly one of my good friends flies for Mesaba and said they would most likely be furloughing... Any truth to this?

i think if you see furloughs at mesaba it will be a la comair. as in comair was hiring to fill positions for future growth that was taken away. mesaba has been hiring like mad to cover their future 900 deliveries. with 10 planes not showing up on property now, classes being cancelled and no more interviews the possibility is very real. but we have all been suprised before so no one will know till they get the call

Honestly, I have a few friends there and the size of your pilot group VS your fleet. I don't see why they would start a furlough. If Mesaba does what ASA did (75 hr lines) I think your pilots could be saved. At ASA we just got too FAT on pilots.

You're right, free thought, and discussion is bad. How dare anyone speculate. I guess they mods would have to delete most posts, and threads on this rumor board.
