Default Mesa shareholders vote to increase authorized shares to 900 million...

Did anyone else notice this. Mesa stock is at .28 right now and dilluting the shares by more then 10 times the current shares outstanding will likely bring it into 2-5 cent range. This seems like a last ditch attempt to pay their notes. I wonder if they will continue to survive much longer? I hope people aren't crazy enough to buy their crap stock. I also hear that they are expanding GO and still hoping to get the Aloha name. What do you guys think about this situation? Does anyone else have any more info?

A judge put a hold to on GO! using the ALOHA name. Last I heard in Hawaii was that they we go over it again in FEB. 09. Judge wanted to wait till things calmed down a bit. Personally, I think it was also to see if Mesa would be able to pay their bill to Bombardier at the end of this month and not abuse the ALOHA name in trying to extend it. But that is just a guess. What also is a slap in former ALOHA airlines face is that they now are a contractor for ground service and GO! has hired them. I think it is under the name ALOHA CONTRACT SERVICE. They crippled a Hawaiian major airline and now have them service their regional planes.

All delistings on the market were put on hold until sometime mid January.
