I believe Pinnacle will be getting 17 CRJ-200's back from Mesaba. And Mesaba will be displacing the 200 pilots to the 9.

i have heard this for the last couple of weeks, but nothing to back it up. and we just displaced 30 capts, so if we are getting them back then they must plan on parking them. |
Here we go again. How bad can it get though.. isnt it already quite bad EVERYWHERE!
What are you guys thinking will be the announcement? They already announced the displacement of 30 CA's effective march 2nd right? so whats next? :( |
The 10 CRJ900s from ASA will re-assigned to Pinnacle.
|
I think that the big announcement will be that they are going to resume hiring, but they're only going to hire one person, and it's going to be 3greens!
|
They are offering buyouts and early out programs at Comair. Maybe it's heading your way as well? After all there is a lot of talk about regional merges. It wouldn't only make sense to cut as much from each unit before you merge them.

ASA (ATRs, 50s), Chautauqua (135s), Comair (50s, 900s and I think some 70s) and Freedom (900s and hopefully everything else) have all lost physical seats. Mesaba seemed to be gaining all sorts of stuff but that's been reassigned. That leaves Pinnacle to take a little dose of 50 seat reductions. I believed ASA was going to be the next hard core whipping boy (ala Comair) but the 900s changed that. Who knows, like I said, just my theory. |

ASA gaining those 10 900s resulted in a net loss of 10 aircraft. They are giving up 20 200s in return. Everyone is getting hit by Delta.
Yes, I said that in my post... notice the (ATRs and 50s) in parentheses after ASA? |

as far as buyouts and early outs that is possible, however unlikely. in december they put out a memo to see how many people would like some time off with a leave of absence to off set the displacement. well 2 weeks into it they had a ton of people who had turned in the papers wanting 30+days off. well the very next week the company sent out a memo saying they had decided not to go that route. that is why lots of us here think the displacement is smoke and mirrors. they had more than enough captains volunteer for an loa and they decided against it. we were technically frozen by the national mediation board and were not supposed to be unfrozen till the end of april. well at the end of december the nmb got together and we will be meeting with them and the company for 5 days straight starting on the 26th. most of the pilots i know feel that if the nmb doesn't get something out of it during those 5 days that we will be released. still a little time away, but i believe things are coming to a head here real quick. |

My bad. Looks like I only payed attention to the last part of your post. |
I'm just gonna throw this out there. Pinnacle-Colgan Merger?
|
How is Mesaba going to GIVE BACK 17 200s when we only had 15 transferred to begin with? That rumor is tired and old. Isn't there anything better to talk about over at PCL?
|
CRJ-200s are making money right now.
You guys are buying into managements scheme of outsourcing mainline jobs to regional pukes like us.:eek::eek: |

now this is something i could buy into. pinnacle is officially moving all of the colgan stuff from VA to memphis. colgan just voted in alpa. we could easily file for single carrier status and it would probably win with no hitches. if they would have left the headquarters in va then maybe they could have kept us seperate. |
Yeah baby, I'm factory trained!!!!

Even though that may sting at first, that would be huge for both pilot groups there.
I support this 100%! It would be beneficial for both pilot groups. In fact, I hope it happens sooner, rather than later. |
Delta made an announcement to its investors today that they will now be contracting out 90 to 100 seat flying to some of its regional partners. Delta also stated that with the merger, they are looking to eliminate some of their regional partners. They have advised certain companies to consider mergers as the NW/DL deal continues to come together.
Management from Compass Airlines was spotted in Indianapolis today for an unknown reason. Mesaba management was also spotted in Memphis during the last few days. Finally, Jerry Atkin was seen in Cincinnati. What does this all mean? Formulate your own conclusions. |

This seems so improbable as to be flamebait. Where is your source?

Comair is offering buyouts-early outs to be the best dressed wh0re when a merger partner comes around. the best part- she's heavy into anal!!! She wasn't willing, then "D" came along. She liked it so much, she started treating her own the same way. |
