? for Shuttle America's HNL crews

Just wondering how many crews are based out of HNL and if bidding this domicile goes toward junior or senior crews? I've hear the company has a hard time finding crews willing to relocate to HNL, any truth to this?

Currently I'm an FO at ASA but recently I had to move back to Hawaii, so I'm just curious any about possibilities that might exist in the future.

I'm not HNL based but the bidding did go relatively junior. They had a few positions open to TDY people and that we so senior it wasn't even funny but for the most part it's a very junior base. It's a black hole though once you go out there you might not get back for awhile.

i would recommend sticking it out at asa and upgrade, get pic, and apply to hawaiian. i cant imagine republic staying in hawaii for long. dont get me wrong, id rather have mokulele stick around instead of go! but loads dont look too good. consider their hnl domicile temporary and dont chase it. do you republicans agree?

Just wondering how you know what the actual loads are......

Well at the start the loads were going to be low, however, as the Alaska and Westjet codeshares spool up loads should increase.

Republic, as a whole, opens and closes bases all the time. Just ask the guys from CVG, DEN, FLL, RIC, CRP, ect. And that's just during the past three four years. Stick at ASA where at least you know where you'll be sleeping in six months.

Thanks to all for the words of wisdom.

I think 'Island Style' has outlined my best course of action. I know a couple of people at Hawaiian and will try to maintain those contacts, since I hear Hawaiian is a very tight company that typically hires from within (by referrals from family and friends of family) before looking at outside resumes.

when you SEE 2 people show up when the agent calls "we will start boarding flight XXX for xxxx, ALL ROWS ALL PASSENGERS"

from what i hear, 15 pax is a big load.
