REGIONAL FOLKS - TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD DO IF YOUR COMPANY WAS FLYING 70 SEATERS FOR MIDWEST. AFTER THAT, TELL ME AND THE WORLD HOW YOU INDIVIDUALLY WOULD HAVE KEPT IT FROM HAPPENING SO THAT WE ALL KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE FUTURE A BEAUTIFUL AND WONDERFUL PLACE WHERE THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES, AND UNICORNS GRAZE IN GREEN PASTURES. ONLY RESPOND IF YOU HAVE A LOGICAL ANSWER THAT IS BELIEVABLE AND YOU COULD BE HELD TO IT. (I can't wait for the smart remarks, which will be ignored). CFI AND AIRLINE PILOT WANNABES WHO LOVE TO THINK THEY KNOW EVERYTHING - I'LL BE HONEST, YOU'RE OPINION REALLY DOESN'T MEAN MUCH TO ME. (I APOLOGIZE, BUT BEING HONEST). What's funny, as mentioned by a couple folks previously who were overlooked, is that it's the little people (regional guys) that are the ones bickering here, and it's stupid (and I fly for Chautauqua and the military). Don't you guys have anything else to do in this life? Do you show up at home after a trip, throw down a few and jump on the computer to spread your lame opinions and gossip? Normally you guys are entertaining, but having done most jobs in the airline industry over 13 years for multiple companies and the government, I'm simply tired of your petty BS on this topic. Rant over. Here's a thought, if you don't like what you see don't open the thread, or don't read it once you see the direction. It's a public board, and anyone can post what they want. Did you go to the rally in MKE? I love how you come on here throwing your resume around like it makes you better than anyone. In case you missed it, your CEO just set this segment of the industry back about 20 years, and this might just be the extend of your resume. You can send all your thank yous to Bedford. |

Holly crap! It didn't take Tilton long to steal a page from Bedfords book. A very bad precedent was set, and look at how many guys came to bat for Bedford. Then people wonder how this sub par contracts pass, well when you got guys advocating Lorenzo like practices from their CEO's, they would do anything, including contract work. |

Answer the questions in my post before you become all defensive. To answer the question, I would not bid the lines, I would not come on a public forum defending a CEO that's in the same league as Lorenzo; and I would go support our brothers and sisters at the rallies, by the way did you do that? Did you go tell your management and Midwest's management to stick it, and show support for your fellow pilots in MKE? So again, what gives you the right? You're not any different than any other anonimous poster, you don't have the right, it's called freedom of speech, you should look it up sometime. Oh and did I mentioned how your CEO personaly just set our industry back to the stone ages. I suppose having an extra paycheck outside of aviation allows for a margin of moral flexibility, is that it? |

How old ARE you? - 10? I was in the Middle East fighting for your right to be an idiot during the picketing. Is that good enough for your childishness? Quit avoiding answering my questions - you're making yourself look worse and worse. |

Quit avoiding answering my questions - you're making yourself look worse and worse. How about you answer my questions. Not worried about how anything looks, just about the facts. So tell me how do you feel about your CEO, knowing he just pulled a Lorenzo and personally put 300 brothers and sisters out on the street? Do you think that's honorable? |

Who do you fly for? How do you feel knowing that Bedford not only bought his way into a contract, but also put 300 folks on the street, all the while providing a way around a contract a Major/LCC? See I'm willing to overlook the fact that you think you're better than everyone else, and that in your mind you believe you have the right to tell everyone to close their lips, as long as you address the questions regarding this topic. I think your trying to get this thread locked by insulting folks. |

Dude - I am no better than anyone else out there. I simply have seen more than the average bear from different perspectives - nothing else. It's an unfortunate byproduct of age. You'll see. |
Ironic...

And even better, how do you expect to be taken seriously if you start your post with everyone should zip their lips? No one here flashes their resume to attempt to gain credibility. But I can tell you having been in the industry for nearly 11 years, and working logistics and global finance for another 6 in the private sector, that my opinion is not any more versed or valuable than that of an 18 year old private pilot. Apparently you think yours is. |

Letting myself be suckered into a dumb conversation with a youngster who probably flys -152's because he is unwilling to answer a single question I've posted. Watch this... you're next post will be a stupid rebuttal with BB in there or the word "furlough". |

Not that there's anything wrong with that. I love flying those things. |

Watch this... you're next post will be a stupid rebuttal with BB in there or the word "furlough". 6 in the private sector traveling the world doing logistics and finance flown 3 types of turboprop/turbojet And yet my opinion is no different than of a youngster who flies 152's as it should be in an anonimous board. You seem to think you're better or special because of your background. I bet there's quite a few guys embarrased by your comments right now. You didn't answer the question about your CEO...interesting. |

You are a liar if you tell everyone you would take the opinion of a high school kid with one semester of studies in global finance serious if he tried to impose his theories and opinions on you... |
At least tell the world how you would have kept all this from happening between RAH and Midwest. Honestly, you have not said a word about it since I've posted. All you do is keep drudging up the same thoughts about picketing, furloughs, blah, blah, blah.
Tell us all, Mr. "11 years in the industry, 6 in the private sector traveling the world doing logistics and finance, flown 3 types of turboprop/turojet aircraft"... HOW WOULD YOU HAVE KEPT IT FROM HAPPENING? That's all I want to know, and I'm done. |

Think what you want, plenty of folks here know my identity as I work with them day in and day out. I'm not concerned about what you believe about me or not. But let's talk about he subject at hand. Please answer the question about your CEO and Midwest, here it is again in case you missed it: How do you feel knowing that Bedford not only bought his way into a contract, but also put 300 folks on the street, all the while providing a way around a contract at a Major/LCC? And why do you keep trying to make this about me? Are you trying to get this thread closed? |
(You still haven't disclosed who you fly for...WHY?)

I feel like it's crap.
Now you answer me. How would you have stopped it before it happened? |
Now that it has happened, how would you logically fix it? Logically meaning, not some BS like "no flying until it's rectified...blah blah blah". Anyone in the industry knows that isn't logical.

Now you answer me. How would you have stopped it before it happened? 2. Inform the public, inform the potential pilots to stay away during this time of chaos and go elsewhere. 3. File a group grivance (which the union did already on both sides). 4. Not bid the base, so that it goes jr, potentially affecting the metrics. 5. Contact the media (only done by the midwest guys as per the circular, apparently no one at RAH had the nerve to go public with it). 6. Definitely would not come on a public board and defend a CEO who takes a page from Lorenzo's book on a public board, sending the wrong message to prospective pilots. You see everyone can make a difference. Continue to get involve, and uphold the arbitrators ruling if in favor of the Midwest guys, even if gets you at odds with management. |
My point is, you look stupid not answering any questions, and pointing out stuff that we all agree with, even at RAH. However, whatever your opinion, every regional is predatory, whether it's at a mainline expense or another regional's expense.

So, y'all can take your, um, "arguments" to PMs please. Nothing about Midwest since page 5 or something.
Thread closed. If anyone wants to talk about Midwest, feel free to start a new thread. |
