A live pig works well. It stays fresh that way. I bring it on a leash and it walks itself through security. Besides the luggage works bag holds 6 entree sized tupperware containers. Cook your favorite meals, freeze them and there you go!

I like this because I only eat an oatmeal packet for breakfast, eat a portioned lunch, a portioned dinner, drink water all day and get a workout in at the hotel and it keeps me in good healthy shape for at least 3-4 days out of my week. The meals stay frozen for usually a few days and I either add ice or use a hotel fridge as necessary to keep them cool. Even if they warm up a bit I do not worry since not only are they pre cooked but they are vacuum sealed.

I just ordered a new lunch box though that will give me a bit more room since this one is overstuffed and falling apart but it was free.

Here is a pic of what I have left after 2 days of a 4 day. The meals do not look like much when I microwave (in the bags) and then dump as a whole in my container. They are all mashed and mixed together with whatever is in the bag. All the FAs and others say it looks gross because the vacuum sealer smashes it all together and then it all goes in one bowl when I eat it but I figure it all goes to the same place anyway.

Pictured is:
front, pasta with meat sauce
back left, lasagna
middle, rice pilaf with chicken
back right, meatloaf with sweet potatos


That looks pretty damn tasty to me... Much better that what the Army serves up as Chow... MRE's? Those things are packed full of calories, and they do not taste all that great... And they are kinda bulky...

Now take the Chocolate powder, the Saltine Crackers, and some water....


Make MRE Pudding! That stuff is way good!

I don't think you'd need the $1400 model. My dad has one that he uses for processing his own deer. Just had deer tenderloin that was taken two years ago. Tasted great!

MRE pudding....good stuff. I love the jambalaya MRE with the Tabasco added in. Also the jalepeno cheese spread is amazing. Haven't had this since 04 in Afghanistan so I dunno if there still around. Could have been the situation that made them taste so good also.......disregard everything i've said....hahaha

Thanks for all the good ideas. I think I need to invest in a nice cooler bag. Someone was saying the ebags one doesn't really keep the food cold though? I have a regular ebags tote and my only problem with it is the slit where you slide your roll-aboard handle into isn't wide enough for my roll-aboard (LuggageWorks 22" Stealth). Does anyone know if the ebags crew cooler will fit?

Also, as a sidenote... I just got this long list of recalled peanut butter products from my grocery store last night. Pretty much every bar that "Clif Bar" makes is on the recall list. If you folks have Clif Bars in your bags you might want to take them back to the store for a refund.

I think the Ebags cooler keeps stuff cold fairly well. If I put a couple of frozen meals in there for a day, they're still mostly frozen by the time I get to the hotel. I stick 'em in the fridge that night, then back in the cooler the next day. Still cool, although not frozen at the end of the day. Ice packs will improve performance, and results vary with season.

I can't say for sure that it will fit your roll-aboard handle, but the slit is rather large. I can't imagine it wouldn't.
