New Delta inter-Florida SF340 routes.

Tallahassee to MCO FLL TPA? Anybody heard anything more?

You can see them on Delta's schedule on Delta.com. That's the only place I've seen any info about it.

Has any of the Sabb's been painted in Delta colors yet?

No. I believe they will begin painting the Saab's in April.

The Saab in Florida will be perfect for the passengers in July. I've heard nothing but praise from the good folks in Houston on this. Good times.

Obviously in this prosperous economic environment Chautauqua 135s would be the logical choice instead of Saab 340s, as the 135 has far lower operating costs on those segments than any silly turboprop. I'm guessing a crew base in MCO would be a cost-effective way to crew those tiny taco rockets, and would in no way whatsoever be beneficial to current RJET pilots.

except boiler any mco operation on chq 135's would have been fed through stl, cmh, and sdf via dead heads to mco out of cvg. good luck to the mesaba guys or who ever ends up getting that flying. Floridia is nice and toasty that time of year!

Way to go Delta for coming full circle.

Turboprops back in MCO.

BlueMoon 02-15-2009 06:49 AM

better pack a couple extra shirts for those trips.

not to mention we already sold the 135s.

there are plenty of guys here that'd love to have a MCO base open up again, but still remember what happened when we closed the last base there.
