I wouldnt put it past it that in an abnormal situation like it was that it could have been fighting itself, and when the AP kicked off it could have gone nose up.

The AP does stink and does some crazy stuff at times. All of us that fly it have looked at it before and gone "what the heck is it doing" as it S turns down a LOC or dissengaged it only to have the controls "kick" making you again wonder "what the heck was it doing" and why was it was fighting itself?
From a centain level I believe ELEV TRM pos and Yoke pos are not proportional anymore. Even if the kick was not as heavy as I expect it to be in that situation, it might have given the crew the appearence of a tail stall.
Maybe they were even talking about the nasa video we all know and were already triggered for the "correct" reaction.
All speculation.

Maybe we can use this thread to share our experiences of the airplane to become even more aware in certain situations.

What was different for you, when you transitioned to the big Q from the smaller one or from other aircrafts?

What are special behaviours etc. etc

I didn`t necessarily mean everything concerning the buffalo event.

Rather everyday life.

Exchange is what a forum is for.
Please correct me, if I´m wrong.

Just out of curiosity, who are you flying the Q300 and Q400 for as you profile say. As far as i know, there are no airlines in the US that operate the Q300 and Q400. Something seem fishy about you!

Yep some regionals in Europe (not mine) have guys flying the 300 and the 400. I had a sim session once where the SFI told me he was flying both.

"Behaviour" gave it away possibly that it's an overseas pilot.

No I´m not from the US.

But our forums don´t have that many Dash drivers.
At least not enough to have an own thread.

I´m flyin the Dash Q300 & Q400 as an fo for Tyrolean (Austrian Arrows). No fish.

Cheers

Tobias

PS: Whats your speed bug philosophy? Do you have the "ice speeds" on the the solid one ?
