Good morning,

Currently we have placed all interviews and pilot classes on hold for the year of 2009. We are still maintaining your name and pilot information in our databases for future reference. We will be contacting you as soon as we know interviews will recommence. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (901) 348-4313.

Thanks for your patient and interest in Pinnacle Airlines. We look forward to seeing you soon!

i would be willing to bet you could put any airlines name in there and it would read the exact same for all of them. i dont think any regionals will be hiring this year. and also i dont see any upgrades this year at pinnacle either.

Yet we are very short staffed on FO's. It stinks that the company is so short sighted. We could really use an infusion of fresh blood.

Dont worry though. Come June 1st if the company is not going to rescind the displacement, there will be about 15 of us looking to leave as soon as we can. I'm going to try and organize it so we all quit on the same day.

Ya I still don't get it. Were so short FO's I get denied trip trades all the time due to low reserve coverage. And seems like every day I have off they call me about junior mans. We need to hire but pinch a nickle is just trying to save money I guess.

I heard lots of FO's are getting extended into days off? And they are down to 8 days off on reserve. Then all the comp day requests get denied, until the third one? No one thinks about the future at pinnacle..sigh.....

Im calling pinnacles bluff on this, they are trying everything they can to try and get us to sign a deal. watch what will happen in about one month, they will suddenly announce classes and then blame the pilots for our performance going down. Things are going to get really nasty this year.

I hope you're right, but there was an upgrade class in progress when they announced the displacements. What puzzles me is the company not opting for a secondary displacement when they still seem to be short fo's on the NW side while they are very, very, very fat in ATL. This whole CA voluntary leave puzzles me as well.

It's in our asa with nwa/dal/whoever it is we fly for now that 9E passes on the cost of our jobs to mainline...so don't ever let anyone tell you that us getting a contract has anything to do with the financial state of the company...9E doesn't even pay for fuel...if upper mgmt would take a pay freeze--problemo solved.

We as pilots didn't screw anything up...we didn't buy auction rate securities or make bonehead financial planning decisions...we posted some of the best (sometimes the best) perf numbers in the industry, while management squandered millions...who deserves the raise...who deserves the paycut...you decide!!!

We need some of those idiot talking heads from Fox News to come by Nonconnah and do their endless blathering on about why CEOs deserve to make their exorbitant salaries even when they make poor decisions that could possibly run their companies into the ground. They might not have anything to say for once.

The US is still #1 in terms of the disproportion between exec pay and frontline worker pay.

Considering the troubles management and the pilots have had, this has all the makings of a contract bluff by Pinnacle. That's my first impression.
