Not a scheduled leg, but after a divert to EWR, we were less than 5 minutes all the way up to LGA. ORD-SBN is another quickie, around 11 minutes if landing east in SBN.

I took a ABE-PHL Air Wisconsin flight, that was 48nm (10 minutes)

Oh, if we're gonna talk "unscheduled", we've done JFK-LGA relocation flights quite a bit (9nm)

Ooooh the things I wouldn't do to fly JFK-LGA...! Native New Yorker here (and I hate the place passionately), but I grew up next to LGA and worked at JFK after high school, so they hold a special place LoL

If so, I'll give you a pass on the personal swipe...

Yes I've used my phone to call is that really an issue for you? Yes I'd call and tell them we were leaving CVG. I never understood people like you that are SO hardup they refuse to do anything that makes their day easier simply because it has to do with the company lol. You sound like that mother on the cingular commercials talking about keeping all her precious minutes. I figure with the 22% discount plus writing t off on my taxes I could spare the 5-10min a month.

At America West we used to do PHX-PUB-COS. PUB-COS was 7 minutes in the 737. Gear up, gear down.

At Henson I did BWI-DCA a lot.

There you go making ASSumptions again, TD...

Cell phone usage is not an issue for me...I called scheduling/maintenance/dispatch plenty of times on mine when it served my interests. With that said, I guess I just don't see a reason for calling the SDF station over the phone from the ground in CVG other than being "cute"...especially when the station will see your O/O times when posted into the computer and would still have plenty of time to prepare for your arrival when calling in-range over RDSTN.

Guess this is just one more difference in personality between you and I...

And not to mention it really isn't that short of a flight that you don't have time to call once airborne.

I dont doubt that at all. I have done DCA-BWI. Took off 33 up the river made a right turn right into the base for 10 at bwi. Why they were taking off and landing opposite directions I cant remember but the air time was 14 mins.

Almost had that happen a couple months ago on a JFK-LGA repo... except that our holdover time expired and they canceled on us.
