US Airways mainline used to do Ithaca to Elmira. I think it was like 31 sm.
|
tol-dtw is 49 miles, I beleive. Took a DC-8 from tol-YIP and back many times. Whew! lotta work in that airplane for that length of flight.

DTW - FNT 60 mile "MAJOR" route.
|
AirNav says DTW to TOL is 42.7nm...so short that passengers could probably drive it in a shorter period of time than it takes them to board, taxi, and fly over there.
|
Actually it is shorter to drive the DTW-TOL. I drive it every week. I don't know what the block is in the CRJ, but in the Saab it blocks 52 minutes and driving is about 50.

I think we still do, but don't know for sure. Haven't been in the EMB in over 8 years. I remember doing that one as well as LAX-OXR. Long day for little pay.

Don't remember the mileage, but we did IAH-EFD and IAH-HOU in Brasilias, ATR's , B-1900's and E-145's at COEX (XJT for you young 'uns). The Brasilia was so much work that some of the guys wouldn't even put the gear or flaps up if the dep. was 15's (which it almost ALWAYS is).
I think the shortest I remember IAH-EFD was 7 minutes takeoff to touchdown. You could do it in :11 in an ATR, and that was one slow bird. |
