Default question about bid periods

Im still relatively new to these boards but my question is what is the normal amount of bid periods for a regional and even the majors? Since on apc some of them say 12 30 day bid periods and others say 13 28 day bid periods and most dont say anything. Then at regionals like expressjet, asa etc and majors like southwest, jetblue, continental etc what is the usual amount of bid periods? Thank you ahead of time for the information.

I think every company is different. At Fedex we have 8 28 day periods and 4 35 day periods. This year is a little different in that we have one less 28 day period and one more 35 day period because of the calendar difference of one day a year (every 7 years we have to make up a week). Our "month" always starts on a Monday.

They're all different, just make sure you convert the all the pay and days off info to a monthly scale when comparing airlines.
