Im sorry to hear about your situation, Im also on furlough (from Mesa). The only thing you can do is just laugh, I learned that a long time ago. Plus honestly, with Mesa furloughing another 100 we def arent getting called back for a very LONG time...thats if they make it. Look at it this way, if Mesa starts calling back it means that the whole industry is probably doing well and many of the other regionals are going to be hiring. Hang in there man it will all turn around! (But I guess thats easier said than done) Good luck to you.

Thank you Arizonastpilot, I am going back to europe and wait for 8 month. I am sure that all regional's will be hiring soon and we will be called back. Make sure you are in the sim. Sim time is 100 times better then GA flight time. Stay ahead of your AC

I am on furlough too. Been on furlough for almost 8 months now, so I feel the pain. If you can't laugh at a bad situation you picked the wrong profession.

Its not about that brother. Flying is the only think that I can work with, so I picked the right profession. I am sorry but cant laugh when my wife is paying the house and the food. I am 31 yrs sooooooooooooo. But I know 2010 is going to be good. Live in that sim borthers.good luck

I am 30 and furloughed. Spent the 1st half of my 20's in the military. Never thought I would be in the slump right now also but I agree, if you don't break a laugh about this, the stress can drive you insane buddy. Read the furloughed poll that was up, there are A LOT of us on this boat right now. You are not alone. :o Spend this time with your baby man!!! Once you get recalled you will only see the rugrat 15 days a month.
