Well, seeing that we haven't even started negotiations...

5+14*354/259.34^E*10^35 = I have no Idea

Typically it takes anywhere from 6 months to decade for a new contract. Pinnacle management has pushed it to 5 years so far, so my guess is at least a year or two (from the time we actually start negotiating).

I think they are legally required to direct draft the dues, because of some corruption lawsuit years ago in some other industry. I may be wrong, but get your MEC to call ALPA legal on it.

We have an LOA for dues checkoff, the company is not complying with it.

Will we get a contract before the Qs? Only if one of two things happen:

1. Our mainline customers (especially CO) put pressure on management to get a contract or risk losing flying.

2. Our pilot group rolls over and lets management write our contract (as was the case for our FAs)

I can only see the first one happening if CAL does that ... but I doubt it highly ...

As for the second ... our pilot group isn't going to roll over and let management write our contract. I think we're all sick and tired of all the memos, all the emails, all the bulletins ... always changing the rules to suit them. We, as a pilot group are not going to let management decide our work rules anymore. Sure, we'll negotiate with them, but they're not going to say "this is the way it's going to be so deal with it"
