airlines are run by business people who look at costs and revenues and try to make money for their shareholders
crew costs are just that a cost just like ramp costs are a cost
maybe the captains should give up a portion of their wages and share with the crew thus keeping the business expense the same

You'd have roughly $3 mil my friend... Yes, good idea! If I could only hire people below to do the same, and they can hire people below them, oh wait... nm.

That's what I'm talking about... I can't count how many MSN articles I've read stating pilots right up there with Doctors in "Highest paying occupation" articles... They even had the balls to put the HOURLY RATE not stating that pilots only get paid for 70 - 75 per month not counting hours and hours of duty time when you aren't flying... Those kinds of things makes pilots look like whiners in the public eye.

all I know is that pay needs to go up! If I was working 40 hours a week on the ramp for Delta in ATL I would be making more then 1st year pay before I was furloughed from ASA. That is just wrong and the guys I work with now are amazed at that fact.
