What is the estimated cost to bring back a furloughed/terminated employee (training, travel, hotel, etc.) at Republic? $20,000? More...Less?

The reason I ask is that to me it doesn't make a lot of sense to bring back several employees and pay a lot of money in training costs just to furlough/terminate them again and bring them back many months later and pay the training costs all over again for a second time. However, if it is just a drop in the company's budget then I guess that's how they might be justifying it.

We're so short on FO's that I was the only available reserve on the shuttle cert this past Friday. I've been called almost every day I've been on reserve and on a number of days off (refused of course).

Unless they start downgrading some captains to the right seat I don't see how this can continue.
