So ya gotta ask yourself, did I say "put the tray table up?"

In all the commotion, I don't remember if I did or not, but this is a Great Lakes Aviation 777, the longest range airplane in the world and could fly you clean off to Paris.

So, do ya feel lucky, punk?

Yeah, I know they don't fly 777's, but a Emb-120 spoils the punch line.

"Jackson said it's unlikely that federal investigators will file charges against the woman, but the incident is still under investigation."

Not to quibble, but why is this the case? Someone can just carry two pistolas thru security and "it's unlikely they'll be prosecuted"?

Just on the few Emb-120s we have. In the Beech, the FO is the flight attendant....

If you could convince them it was truly unintentional, it would probably not hold up in court anyway...you do not have to have knowledge of the law to be convicted, but you do have to have actual intent, or perform an obviously negligent act.

Absent a nefarious motive, a highly plausible explanation about why they were in your bag should do the trick. Maybe a competitive or hobby target shooter who went to the range and forgot to remove them? She's lucky she didn't have the ammo.

Silly goose should have declared checked them in her luggage, as the law allows. If she had malicious intent, she would have to be the stupidest person in the world.

Yep hopefully she just returned from the shooting range or something?? Rick's right...she'd be toast if she'd been carrying ammo.

I'm not sure if she was going through regular security, or if she was going through the employee parking lot security area. Either way, it's kinda tough to "forget" that you had two handguns in your luggage.
