My reasoning:
-CFII implies CFI...so you can drop CFI from your list.

Hate to throw this in here, but CFII does not imply CFI. You can get your CFII without ever getting your CFI. For the same regard, you could also get your MEI only.

You're right in a sense Latron, but the CFII isn't worth a thing unless you have your CFI with either ASEL or AMEL priveleges. The implification is well understood in the airline industry that CFII means you already have your CFI. This could go to the careers section of the forum it stays on this road. Don't beat the guy up too much guys. He's just looking for advice for those of us that are out there.

To you and anyone else looking to get into the regionals, it's not easy living with the pay, it's not easy dealing with the change in QOL. There are plenty of d-bags with higher seniority and 1/3 or less of flight time than me, who will inevitably be upgraded before me as well. In that same bunch of higher seniority folks, there are plenty who I'd be happy to sit right seat next to. All the poor me, the pay sucks, etc talk is bull. Everyone knew what they were getting into, we all like the view from the flight levels. If you're willing to stick it out, things will turn around enough at some point (hopefully sooner than later) and you will not be a career regional airline FO. Best of luck to you, if you're willing to put your time in, you're bound to do just fine. Kiss those $200k+ dreams good bye, but don't think you can't make a fair living at some point.

Again, just do your homework, and know what you're getting into. RANT OVER.

hmm...

Well looking at the video closely he was trying to keep the nose straight and was trying to keep the nose from sliding either left or right. He did keep his rudder imputs in for too long. (Overcontrolling) But he added power (still not enough as previously mentioned in others posts)

I imagine the training would state to use minimal forward yoke pressure. In fact just letting it forward a little bit and increasing power to max. Your still holding a lot of "back" pressure but the yoke is further forward than where it was. The increased upward pitch is probably a result of the uncommanded flap retraction.

He definitily put them in a bad scenario but she pulled out the rug and sealed their fate. JMHO.

I know guys personally who have had to. Junior FO, wife not working, a new baby. $20-25,000 doesn't go far depending on what part of the country you're living in. Remember, it's not just momma's boob that kid's sucking on all day every day, its also you're wallet!

Ha, good thing I'm single. But the loans are killer. So might have to consider that.

Get on at Great Lakes, they pay more than any other 19 seat 121 turboprop operator around!

Well, if you are going to bring this thread back to life, I decided to take a look back at my old paychecks. In 2008, my year one monthly guarantee take home (insurance, and uniform payment) not including per diem was $1150.
