New UAL travel fees for UAX guys

Just got a memo that starting tomorrow June 1st the only way to fly for free on UAL is to fly on your own company's planes. Any other carrier (including UAL mainline) and there is a base fee of 10 - 50 bucks.

do you guys have something like a Vacation Pass, where you get xx number of passes a year?

At XJT we have to pay like 12.50 or something to pass travel or use a Vacation Pass.

Also what airline do you fly for?

Doesn't sound like what we've got at SkyWest...they're talking about an annual fee now...

Seems like all the perks are slowly fading away, pass travel has become more stressful than anything

There was a time when UAX employees had to pay to ride ANY plane in UAL/UAX paint job. However, UAL employees didn't.

Not sure if thats still the case, that was few years ago. But just one example of what stellar employee relations are/were at the "friendly skies".

Whhaaa? I thought CASS was free. So if you don't pay and just go up to the gate and list, they won't let you on?

Maybe you're AE and know more. But aren't they (AE) supposed to pass ride (pay) if there is an open seat in the back? In other words, if there is a seat in the back, you are not permitted to use the JS privilege and get out of paying.

When did that become policy? I knew plenty of guys when we were DelCon that didn't pay and were allowed to JS.

YES, you can JS. But if you don't pay your yearly fee, you and the people on your profile (parents/wife/kids) don't get to take advantage of the travel bennies.
