We have one that did that as well.

Still, After paying my bills I have more disposable income than most flight attendants. Not to mention the fact that I would be in the same situation as others here. Although I'd probably punch the small child too. I don't know how flight attendants do it. This is one of two jobs at an airline that I haven't had (the other being mechanic) and couldn't take dealing with mad customers at the ticket counter. I asked to be demoted back to working on the ramp. Dumping lavs was more dignified than dealing with angry passengers at the ticket counter or gate.

At our airline they don't last more than 3 months.

I know. I was there.

I don't know what the OP is talking about with the thousands of dollars worth of loans. Some in the flight attendant class during my new hire class were AMAZED that we had to go through "a whole 8 weeks of training?! Ours is only 4 weeks!"

Seriously, they thought we were just hired off the street and they were turning us into pilots in 8 weeks. (Insert great joke about ATP students here)

However, back to the original subject. I would just LOVE to print out the OP and hand it to some flight attendants while the original poster was standing in front of them. After it took them the 15 minutes to read it, he'd be beat into a pulp.

The best thing that makes and FO's job better than the FA's is what separates us - a reinforced, lockable cockpit door.

I think there's a reason why 50% of many company's FA seniority lists hasve been there less than a year.

Simply as far as income left over after writing the student loan checks, yes...a typical F/A has it better than many FO's.

Well, at on the Beech at Lakes the FO is the FA so I'd have to say no to this one.

I especially enjoy when pax ask if we are going to get out of the front and serve drinks.

Haha...that is classic :D

There's a story out there where a pax called either the airline or the FAA to complain that the flight attendant on her flight didn't serve them at all and he proceeded to get in the cockpit for the remainder of the flight.
