Default Checkride failures for current pilots?

Is there any talk of the FAA/airlines reviewing current regional airline pilot's employment applications about failed checkrides with actual data? How about currrent pilots with several failed checkrides at the airlines? Are their jobs safe?

Before eveyone gets emotional on the subject remember as professionals we don't want:
1)Pilot's that lied on their initial application anywhere near our cockpits.

2) Pilot's who have had a past history of multiple checkride failures flying the skies.

I believe a review of all current employee's checkride history will be good for the honest pilots and airline industry, returning credibility to our lost profession while putting safety first where it belongs!

So since I failed my Initial CFI and a couple stage checks at a Part 141 school I am not as Professional as you, since obviously you are perfect and feel you are a topgun. This is ridicoulus we sit and watch Barbara Boxer rail against our industry, something she know jack about and believe we are making a safer airline industry. I have always believed in being honest and do agree that if you lie and it gets found out you should be canned, but a few failed checkrides during your flight training days do not matter and have no bearing on your ability to be a good and safe pilot.

I totally agree- some people dont test well as others, that doesnt mean they arent the worst pilot or less safe.

Checkride failures meaning stage checks as well? I didn't think that was really a checkride.

Sorry, but I kind of agree with the OP.

Some people don't test well? Sorry, if you can't perform in a stressful situation, you shouldn't be a pilot (that a general "you", not you you).

Obviously there has to be some leeway and I'm not sure where the cut off should be, but people who continuously fail checkrides should be ditched. This should not be an equal opportunity profession.

A checkride is a process by which your ability to meet objective standards (PTS) are judged by subjective individuals (the examiner). Untill you remedy that problem, this topic is not worth discussing. But by all means, place yourself on that pedestal. After all, you are the TOPGUN!

I don't agree with that one entirely. I know of examiners that fail almost everyone. I think one class at RAH had around 28 out of 30 people get pink slipped by the same woman. So much she was pulled from it for a while. A buddy of mine was one of them and the company came back with a different examiner for him. He apologized saying she shouldn't have busted him but once the slip is out it's out. There are a few long term CA's that were recently sent down to FO because of BS questions. I just don't like the whole pink slip process.
