I absolutely love cup noodles but I think I would rather starve the entire day than use hot water from the galley. I dont know about anyone else, but our hot jugs never and I mean NEVER get washed or cleaned or even wiped down... I've seen some FAs even leave the water sitting in there overnight, getting stale and slimy. sometimes its dirty coffee water with old paper towels that somehow made it into the jug. eek.

We didn't get jack in LAX. Had to fork over $8 at CrackDonald's, or $11 for a CPK.

However, if you had a SMF turn and could wait till you got there, you could get a CPK in SMF for $7-8.

But yeah, the Branded food rocked the few times I did it.

I miss being away from COEX.

I always packed a couple meal replacements and some powder protein mix. Takes 30 seconds to shake up and whamo you're full. Then you unleash the fiery demons on the toilet at the dumpy hotel on your overnight.

I stood in line with an fo in atl who told me **** D0, I'm gonna get a sandwich. In my book that's what it's all about. As far as bringing food from home, I don't have anyone in the kitchen and shouldn't have to be my own wife. But ten bucks on a meal at the airport isn't built into my salary.

I never had an issue getting a meal when I was still flying. Oh yeah that's cause the wife worked at Chelsea so she at least told me what to expect. I don't think ACA had crew meals. I took so many delays when I was in ORD ops and the CA would tell us "going to get my crew meal".

LGA's vendor just changed so I'm not familiar with what they are. In CLT they are delivered to the aircraft, normally a sandwich, bag of chips, cookies, M&M's, and an apple.
Cibo's pre made sandwhiches just watch the colored dots each day is a different color.

With that attitude you probably never will.

Never begged, always offered... some ramp guys would say, just ask for them when you were down there. Given the way Delta is, my guess is you lost them because DL is cheap.

Oh no, not at TSA. That is considered theft, and if you get caught with any part of a snack box...Immediate Termination.

Oh yeah! All that hoopla about them and then they went away in about two weeks without a word. I guess I was wrong about Eagle!

Although I used to love getting a break for food and finding an irate gate agent. Hey, it's in the contract that when we want to eat we eat. No questions asked. Oh, you forgot to print up a release. That's funny the ACARS said it would be waiting at the gate! No, no, no. I'll be back in 10 minutes.
