Did anyone listen to the conference call? Signing bonus $10 Million, half payable this year, half payable 2nd quarter 2010.

Explain. I'm not sure what you mean.

Signing bonus in the new TA, I'm guessing. $10m divided between between 1300 pilots = avg of $7600/pilot for 4 years of stagnant wages. Don't spend it all in one place....

we only have a TA, so don't put the cart before the horse, also, you are nieve to think they are going to split 10 mil b/t all the pilots evenly. some have been here the whole time the contract has been ammendable, some have not. and 10 mil is a joke, my "industry average" pay scale has cost me a lot more than the 5k i end up getting out of all of this.

We got the same deal over here at ASA, even though it seems like a big check, uncle sam takes a really big bite before it gets into your hands...like 25-30+%

Um, actually it's not a "big check" even considering uncle sam. I should be getting about $9,000... With this $10 mil deal I'll be lucky to see $1500 pre-tax.

I'm so dissappointed at the facts of this TA that have been released. Just ridiculous. After all this time. After all this government and media attention. What the heck guys?

If the speculation/points of this TA are true then I guess the folks running the show in this union really are the big-fish in the small pond "professionals" that would rather sellout the bottom half than improve our profession. I'm sickenly dissappointed.

Oh well, I guess we'll soon get to hear from ALPA reps how this contract is so awesome. I'd like to imagine this would be impossible to sell to the pilot group, but since the vast majority of folks I fly with couldn't think or fly their way out of a paper bag without paying Gulfstream/Jet U, Sarah Palin, or Jesus to show them how - It won't be hard to convince them. Nowhere else in my life have I met such a collection of stupidity. What a waste.

Yes they did, and we received our check all at one time, not split into 2 separate payments over 2 different years.
