The Captains you speak of were First Officers before the current (or not so current) contract became amendable. That means they were working under a valid contract. Why should they get anything for this time???

This got off topic real fast.

Pinnacle seems to have a fairly heavy amount of fighting going on between the TA and the "Signing Bonus" ...
Please let me know how about your experience!
Thanks!

I work here, so not sure about other airlines...I would say that it's not too surprising...greed is a powerful weapon to overcome. Everyone wants the best situation for themselves and there's a lot of disappointment over several things in the TA. CA's who have been here awhile should step forward a lead a fair agreement through...SOME FO's should be more willing to listen to those who've been there before I suppose. I hope we can all work together to shoot this TA down personally.

At SWA the recent TA failed by less than 100 votes out of 6000. FO's voted it down by 60%, CA's voted for it by 59%. Lots of bad blood between the senior CAs that just wanted money and no QOL improvements since they already had the QOL and the Junior FOs. Luckily for us we have tons of other issues that have come up, so the angst has subsided. My point is a properly educated and motivated group can do what is right for the younger folks.

I'm not saying the W2 method is a good method.

I love how money causes so much drama. Money runs the world.

have we met on the airlinkpilots message board, because you remind me of half the pilots on their that love to argue every point brought up? i bet you are voting yes on the TA

This has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with "who has suffered the most."

So many of you people are an embarressment to yourselves and the entire Professional Pilot career. It's like watching dogs fight over a left-over bone. You just don't get it and you're the downfall of our profession.

Who Gets What

On a recent conference call, we were told we would see approximately what our share of the bonus would be if the contract was ratified. Someone then asked if we could see what the senior captain's share would be. Although we aparently will not be able to, don't you think that a more than fair request?

On the other hand, if the senior captain's knew what the fo's bonus was going to be, perhaps they'd hand their heads in shame and vote no. Then again.........
