Question PSA Info

I am getting ready to send out my resume, and PSA is one that I would like to send one too. I was just looking for info from current PSA pilots about the company, such as way of life, upgrade times, and domiciles.

Search this website as well as Flight Info, everything you would want to know and some you probably do not is all on here (and there)!

Good Luck,

PSA is a good company although you will be hard-pressed to find a pilot who thinks so. They all whine and moan but still continue to work here. If you compare all the regionals, they are all, for all practical purposes, the same. Sure one pays a little better then the next or has a better route schedule, but in the big picture, the QOL is basically the same. I find it funny when people compare such small details and then think one regional is so much superior to the next. Again, they are all basically the same. I found training to be pretty good at PSA. The instructors all seem to be very helpful. The captains that I have flown with are all real nice guys/gals (one exception that I have had) and even though the biggest gripe is scheduling, they do a pretty descent job. You will find that you feel like you are being screwed by scheduling, but they have a job to do with very little to work with. The biggest problem I see with PSA, and it pertains to almost all the airlines, is the union. What an absolute waste of money, time and whatever else you want to lump in there. They do absolutely nothing for the regionals...except collect your dues and buy you pizza during indoc. (Take a look at the union rag and tell me the officers do not look like slimballs!) Any way, good luck in your endevours...Id say ill see you on the line but I am sure I will not be here when you get hired. CTL Oh, CLT, TYS, and DAY are the domiciles. You would probably get CLT. Upgrades are nonexistant right now but that could change overnight. Ive heard anywhere from 3 to 5 years. See ya.
