Default FRAPA...(Fedup Regional Airline Pilot Assoc.)

Considering all thats happening in the airline industry especially with us the small guys. A buddy of mine came up with a suggestion to see how many of us barbie doll jet drivers would actual be interested in having a meet and greet. Have a beer, play a round of golf or just hang out at a beach or pool side and have a BBQ. This is by no means a way to de-rail Alpa or Teamsters. This will the first FRAPA gathering open to all pilots and we can network and hopefully build ties that will last a lifetime. This event and gathering is not company specific. If we get enough people interested we will post details where and when. We can make it a Friday and saturday event or a Saturday and Sunday event. A friend of mine in the hotel industry advised me that if we can get enough folks to come out, then as a group we could get a block of rooms reserved and it will one man for himself at an agreed upon rate! I think this will be an awesome event and we can end it with a formal dinner. I am willing to buy a few Kegs, if this works out for those that attend so beer is on me! Contact me at [email protected] if interested Thanks and be safe out there

I think it would be a heck of a lot of fun. As long as us furloughed guys are invited too!

Definately furloughed pilots are welcomed, hopefully if we have a good turn out the first time we can have hr folks from interested carriers have a job fairs at one event in the early hours. Guys I want this to be a moment where we can just bond without fear of misrepresenting our carriers. We have guys that are furloughed that could still use our sympathy and maybe those of us that sit on a hiring team can shade light on whats going on in our company's near or distant future. We are not trying to attract bad attention to ourselve Rick!

I can't speak for JetRecruiter, but if the answer is no... I'll sneak you a few beers!

BTW, I'd be happy to attend... Asuming there are some girls around. I suggest some sort of college town. At least college girls still think pilots make a lot of money!

Great idea. I highly suggest any (all) of you check out the link below. Event is being held Oct. 19th, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV.

Network Jetcareers

Also, if you're interested, the next link will provide even more information.

Network JC threads

This event is a social gathering of pilots held in Las Vegas every year. I'll be in attendance....this will be my fourth year in a row. It's a great time, very casual, lots to do, lots of adult beverages to be consumed, hotels are über-cheap this year, etc...

It's a good time.
