go to hostels.com,, and have him hang out and go back every single day. He'll get out eventually..if he builds a good report with the gate agents,,they may help him out.

Have him work some magic

Thanks, we're in good shape there since he's up there to see his dad. Only problem is he probably needs to back to work eventually.

As a guy who jumpseats on NWA sometimes to get home (GFK) from ANC I recommend he go to EVERY NWA departure and wait. I rarely have to sit on the ironing board and his buddy pass is higher than my offline jump priority. It will work but be there for all the flights. Not just the convenient morning one.

What he said...

I gave up giving those things out a long time ago. There's a reason they call them "enemy passes."

Sorry to hear that, but what did you expect in the tourist season in AK?

Buddy passes on DAL are right there below me, a furloughed DCI pilot. It's awful trying to go anywhere on DAL as a non-rev.
Be a true friend and don't give out buddy passes.

Start looking at connecting flights thru hubs. Find the cheapest fare you can find one way that is connecting at a hub -any hub, any airline-, just don't make the connection. At that point you can adjust the BP to travel out of that city/hub to your destination. Point to point are usually more expensive, but connecting flights on the other hand have more leeway in pricing. Good luck!.
