Compass is currently hiring (limited) but you got to have at least 1500TT with 1000ME.

Those are great minimums for a regional, I hope those become the minimums for all regional airlines per new federal law.

They are good mins. Did you have that many when you got hired at your first 121 carrier?

Nope, I had about 1200TT. However the regionals need more barriers to entry for any hope of pay being increased across the board.

Is Compass seriously hiring? I am surprised.

I didn't either.

I agree it would raise the bar, but having been hired at my old carrier in Europe with 280 hours (or something like that) and having seen many others benefit from low mins it seems delicate to demand raising it.

The best argument for raising mins is safety. I doubt it'll raise pay.

As far as Compass goes, I was offered a class date there about 4 months ago. But they were only interviewing high time pilots with ATPs.

I guess that would be a good law. However the last law didn't work out so well for some people (age 65). Less laws are usually better for everyone.

That is such a silly statement.... did pay decrease when people got hired with 400-500 hours?
