In two years Skywest Employees are going to be forced into the CDHP/HSA (Consumer-Driven Health Plan) (Health Savings Account). NOT an FSA. They are doing away with HMOs and PPOs. It's a lot to explain here but it's insurance with a high annual deductible ($2400) and low premiums ($54/check for family). Good if you don't go to the doctor much, bad if you do. Most don't like the option but it is insurance.
They're really cheap, until you have a child or surgery. Then it's not so good.

Correct. When Age 65 retirements start happening (2012), the movement will be absolutely mind blowing. I think it starts with 300/yr and increases up to almost 600/yr at some point a few years after that. Combine that with the youngest pilot on the property at that point (age 37) and if you are first in line in a new hire class, your seniority will be mind boggling. AA will hire, we just have to wait for the 65ers to start retiring. Forget about growth, they've been very adamant in sticking to the "no growth without a concessionary pilot contract" mantra.
