asa make up their mind
I saw on the ASA page that they are reported to be hiring 16-20 per month. A week ago they were reported to be furloughing. Anyone know what is up? I used to work there as a station agent, now I am a flight instructor looking to go back there when I get my hours up.

ASA is hiring for a pool
I just got a call from ASA yesterday for a 5 minute pre-screen. Sent the resume in a little over a month ago, now they are sending me an application and we scheduled an interview (well, sim ride the first day and if you pass, then the interviews the next day) for July 11th. Spoke with Lisa and she said that they currently don't have any class dates set, but they are hiring to fill their pool. No word on how long the pool is going to last because they don't know when the class dates will start... Looking for any info on this, so if anyone knows, please post or PM me.
Thanks,
marinepilot

Heres the deal... yes atr is getting retired but not for a while, the dat floats but here until 07. The hiring 16-20 is just info that people post on here not actually from the company. Class just cancelled but as one person noted, they are trying to fill the pool which would imply a hiring wave coming. So why all the furlough talk? Because the 90 seater scheduled for asa was given to skywest. one person noted that asa was not losing any existing aircraft to skywest. That is incorrect. there are currently 11 700's in SLC and skywest is going to take those aircraft over as of oct 1. so there is a reduction in fleet. all slc pilots are being moved to atl. yep, that sucks. this is all contract positioning by the company and union, but I can address that in another thread. right now the better place to get on a seniority list is skywest, ASA is stagnant for the time being. I'm extremely senior (312 out of 1,800 pilots) and I've got resume's out everywhere.

What's wrong? Why won't anyone hire you? How long have you been applying?

Can we run Browntail off the regional board and back into cargo where he belongs? If that's what he really does for a living. Every thread seems to get ruined by his stupid little comments.
.. or we can just tell his mommy to revoke his internet account, so maybe he'll finish his homework for a change.
