Congrats to all elected!

Steve and Rich are good guys and should serve the pilot group well.

If you don't want people from other carriers asking, you probably should just post it on your internal web boards. Why the secrecy?

I don't really care either way. I was just curious.

So the FO reps don't matter? I hope ALL of our newly elected reps serve us well.

Ummm, thats the first thing I said. I don't have any idea who the FO's are, but I know Steve, Rich, Danny and Nick. They all would have done a fine job representing EVERYONE!

Again, Congrats to all elected!

It was for all of the ASA pilots who read this board, and not the internal one (that few people even know exists).

Why the secrecy? Because ALPA chest thumpers like you and Rez cringe when 10 year ALPA veterans get replaced by new faces, and call your buddies in Herndon to drop the hammer on them as soon as they take office.

There will be some serious change in the way the ASA MEC is run, and it will be changes that are good for the ASA pilot group, not necessarily what's good for Alpa with a capital A. The reason the incumbents got thrown out is that they've been too focused on Alpa, Dalpa, and the FFD Task Force for too long, and not focused enough on ASA. THAT is what's going to change. We elected reps who are going to (to steal JM's terms) take a pragmatic approach to issues and do what's best for the pilot group AND the long term health of the company.

I certainly wouldn't do that, and knowing Rez, neither would he. I really have little connection to the current ASA reps, so it makes no difference to me. Whatever you guys think is best. I only got worried three years ago because it was John's buddies. If it's not his hand-picked "Jackson 4," then I don't really care.

That all sounds good, especially the part about eschewing DALPA. As long as LM's running things up there, they should keep their distance, in my opinion. I wish the new reps luck.

PCL, once you meet Andy Hale, you won't have anything to worry about. At least on the FO side.

He's a great guy that shares a very similar trade union philosophy as you and I.

Definitely NOT the case. You know me better than that.

BTW, John had very little if anything to do with that coalition.
