So a guy who works for Colgan is posting pictures about how sad the airline industry is because of Republic? Talk about the highest form of hypocrisy.

How is he a hypocrite? Is Colgan taking over the world with our 450 pilots and big bad turbo props?

And why is an FO from Colgan throwing stones again? Oh yeah that's right - I'm sure his vast flight experience and thousands of logged hours is chocked full of valuble knowledge and advice for the rest of us. Either that or he's newbie who doesn't really know how this business works.

You didn't hear? Colgan just bought out Delta and will be replacing the MD-80's with Saabs and the 737's with Q's.

Colgan put ExpressJet guys out of work. Flying a larger airplane (Q400 vs E145) for less pay. That's undercutting just like Republic and Midwest.

Republic did not undercut Midwest. They bought them out for the name and routes of Midwest. Midwest is now a virtual airline. ITS GONE!!

Express Jet just locked up more flying with UAL and will have close to 100 pilots coming back starting in January.

If you think these are the same thing and are both examples of "undercutting," you are mistaken.

Call it what you want, but I'll call it prejudice and intollerance. It makes me sad to hear people preaching their hatred towards others.

You should take your own advice.

We can blame each other all day long while the Fat Cats are laughing it up at the country club smoking big cigars and thinking of new ways to make money multiply.

At the end of the day, we (the little guys) have no control over what the company we happen to work for does. We are all just trying to make a life in our chosen profession. I'm sure most of us would rather work somewhere else (unless you work for Fed-Ex, UPS, SWA, NASA, NetJets, Oprah or USAF flying Air Force One).

Obviously you think that picture from the OP is OKAY...which tells me you don't really know how this business works either. Maybe I should post a nice button my father gave me from the United Airlines strike from 1985 that will help you better understand how this industry is SUPPOSED to work. This current day and age (never mind the economy) is NOT how the airlines are supposed to work. To many airlines have to many "dirty corner-standing ladies" who take everything they can, but do nothing for the industry as a whole. With the attitude you convey, I would assume you are one of the "many", so no point in continuing.

Midwest Airlines is a subidiary of Republic Airways. You guys really think the industry is going to forget the actions of Republic pilots in undermining negotiations and "locking-out" Midwest pilots from integration at their own airline.
